Steffanie M. Speck graduated with Honors from Maryville College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business and Organizational Management (2000). She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a concentration in Business Transactions (2003). Prior to joining Brock Shipe Klenk PLC, she served as in-house counsel for two of Knoxville’s top title companies and was a partner in a respected local law firm for more than a decade.

Steffanie focuses her practice in the areas of corporate law, contract negotiations, commercial finance, real estate, escrow closings, and title insurance. She has a strong focus on providing exceptional client service and has built a reputation for delivering creative and practical solutions to facilitate smooth transactions. With extensive experience representing both regional and national firms, Steffanie possesses a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by her clients, and often assumes the role of lead counsel on portfolio purchase and sale transactions. Her diverse client base includes numerous banks, commercial real estate development firms, builders, businesses, private investors, and other lending institutions.

Steffanie is a Licensed Title Insurance Producer and has served on the Legislative Committee of the Tennessee Land Title Association. She is a Title Insurance Agent for Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, and Westcor Land Title Insurance Company. She actively maintains memberships in the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Land Title Association, and the American Land Title Association.

In addition to practicing law, Steffanie established the Title Law Program at the University of Tennessee College of Law and taught as an adjunct professor for many years. She serves on various boards and represents a number of non-profits on a pro bono basis. She was recently named an Attorney for Justice by the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Access to Justice Commission, recognizing her for her pro bono service.

In her free time, Steffanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chad, and their three sons. She is very active in her faith community and enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
