Samuel D. Stout

Associate

Samuel D. Stout graduated from Duke University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and Neuroscience. Sam received the Thomas Beasley Scholarship to attend and graduate from Vanderbilt University Law School. At Brock Shipe Klenk, his practice encompasses a variety of complex business and civil litigation matters.

Throughout his time in law school, Sam was a managing editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology and also worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Legal Research and Writing.

In the period between his undergraduate studies and law school, Sam served as an Officer in the United States Army, where he led his platoon on a deployment to Afghanistan during Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and earned a Bronze Star.

Prior to joining Brock Shipe Klenk, Sam was at a large civil litigation firm and served as an intern for Magistrate Judge Alistair Newbern, of the Middle District of Tennessee.

Originally from Cookeville, Tennessee, Sam loves UT football, and in his downtime, enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter.
