John G. Brock attended the University of Tennessee (B.A., 1993; J.D., 1996) where he was a recipient of the Torchbearer Award, the school’s highest student honor.

Mr. Brock represents lending institutions, businesses, and business owners in transactions of all types, including commercial and venture financings, mergers, acquisitions, real estate development transactions, securities offerings, and reorganizations. Mr. Brock also represents artists, celebrities, athletes, and entrepreneurs in the development and distribution of content, intellectual property assets, advertising, and branding.

Mr. Brock regularly serves as general outside counsel and strategic advisor to businesses, boards, and executive management teams. His experience includes some of the area’s largest and most complex transactions, including the sale of Clayton Homes, Inc. to Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Mr. Brock also represents and serves as a board member to numerous non-profit organizations on a pro bono basis, and is an owner and co-founder of Clarus Entertainment, LLC, a management company representing artists and athletes.
